Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 26-27 April cont. better to seal the door of the eggs + make sure the female had a fighting chance than to leave her to the snakes overnight, when she was on the ground. Several nests were found to have eggs today, including one of the ones by Claus's house. I staked the newly-hatched E-8 by ACA, + saw PYP feeding the chicks. That makes 3 years of chicks from her. Julie confirmed that BOB is the mother of a nest near BTR as well. Some females seem to be con- sistently successful. WVR's chicks in E-1 are gone, either fledged or eaten, + I saw WVR on the dance perch at BRI (5?), with ARA + BOW dancing (ARA eeked). Still no success in catching ARA for the removal experiment. I paid the week's bill - $157.45.
