Julie & I entered "summaries" & "vocalizations" for 18 of her observations but didn't get to mine. Speed of data entry is still an issue, despite the streamlining that I did with John. 5 April 2002 Today was another dry season day - a howling North wind that made the plan to do a fourth watch a bit silly for today, but we persisted. Both of my morning watches had a lot of pip flights, but the females never went to the dyp. They all seem preoccupied by finding nest sites. How much time does a female have between breeding & laying? 6 April 2002 I found 8 nests today - a new record! We've collectively found 30+ nests in the last week, most of which do not yet have eggs. The manetics are being amazingly synchronous. The wind kicked up in the evening, & people are burning their pastures on the mainland. I found five sea slugs in tidepools below the
