DuVal, E.H. 2002 Journal 3 Apr 2002, continued. Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 3 April, cont. After we reconvened, we carried nets from WEL3 to HEL and set them up where I'd just seen the whales. We promptly caught the unBDM and when we went to close them there was an unCB in a different net. I left 2 6-meters up & tied shut for a brief mist- netting Goray same afternoon soon. We were late for dinner. Ryan & Becca did data entry all afternoon & got summaries (& vocs?) in for all of the last week for Ryan's data. It's still slow going, but better than before the recent database revisions. I stayed up late entering some of my data from the pile of untouched March watch sheets. 4 April 2002 I had scheduled mistnetting for today, but with the targeted unBDM of the week already captured, Julie & I did AM watches & PM data entry instead. I found two more new nests under construction near the EDM dance perches. One is in a small sapling just behind dp 2, where a nest failed last year (E-something. 21?). It's even in the same fork of the sapling. Amazing! I wish I had the maps of nest sites from last year.
