E.H. 2002 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama March I walked the length of the study site with Eileen and John, just because I want to show them everything. We saw the Mantled Howler Monkeys by second beach - a daily occurrence for us, but it was their first look at a wild primate. Frank was drunk from his weekly payday drinks with his workers, and was behaving poorly. At least it was a clear demonstration for my advisor of why I don't want to work here forever. 29 March 2002 I took Eileen and John to the BTR display area to explain our observation protocols, and the birds cooperated by performing some beautiful displays in the absence of females. Then we went to BTE where RCW did a solo display for a female. John was making enthusiastic suggestions about skipping lunch to do more watches, much to the horror of my regular assistants. Eileen and I talked about the Ph.D. into the evening and she encouraged me to move on to data analysis. 25 March 2002 John & Eileen, observing as a team,
