DuVal, E.H. 2005 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 4 June 05 Activity level was somewhat high this am but tapered off throughout the day. Anne saw unb DM at BMB and I saw two down the Hel gully. We are going to net for Anne's nest tomorrow. We are going to use stacked beer crates to reach the nest. Emily's chick (now only 1) hatched in Wel 4. We have to stake that nest since we don't know the ♀. Temp today 76°F - 84°F. The afternoon is ending in rain. JYL 5 June 05 A very busy day for everyone. We set up 2 nets this morning at A-7 nest to catch the unb g. Steve was in charge and was successful in catching her. He banded her PFA A1# 781, Steve and Anne bled the chicks. The ♀ was seen again on the nest - so she did abandon. We should stake her nest again to confirm she is the one. I staked the nest in Wel 4 2X with any luck. Anne staked it as well and is yet to return. It rained hard last night - 6 cm, temp 75°F - 86°F. The kettle broke this am so we ate crackers and pb. I'm unsure what [tomorrows] breakfast will bring.
