DuVal, E.H. 2005 June cont. Journal Isla Boen Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 1.3cm - since last night. S-14 chick's eye is even worse - all swollen on left side of head. I took pictures with the video camera. Anne's nest that she found yesterday (A-7) has 1 chick and 1 egg and the ♀ is unbanded! The nest is SO high that we are strategizing how to manage it. JYL 2 June 05 The day was very quiet today for everyone. The weather seemed to be suitable for manakin displays, but who knows? Temp was low 75° F to high 84°F. Steve bled and banded fully the chick from E-61 - A1 780 FBP. All went well. Boxer was a trooper today and worked all day. :) JYL 3 June 05 Another quiet day in the field. Things definitely picked up in the afternoon. A lot of QRing. I saw BW6 DM today (the ugly one). He sure looks strange. He was a great DM last year and used to hang around CCLS. He looks like someone put bleach on his blue back'd on his head. I wonder what happened to him. He was hanging out at ACA 4 this evening. I didn't get a very good look. Temp 75°F - 85°F. JYL
