Isla Boca Brava, [illegible], Chiriqui, Panama.
15 May Steve, Anne, and I all went to David to buy supplies.
We left before 9am to catch the Boca Chica -
Horconcitos bus. The bus never returned, but
fortunately we were able to get a ride from
Elvy Villatobos. This David trip was reasonably
priced - No cost for transportation, except water taxi
for 3 people to B.C., $3, and $1 back for me. I
was able to ride back to B.C. with Elvy in the
afternoon, while Anne and Steve stayed in
David to start their vacation. Groceries, copies,
and lunch totalled ~$45.00.

26 May Today was a busy day for Julian and I. Julian
spent the day doing playbacks and recording pairs.
I did five watches in total, nest searching (2 hrw)
and nest checking. The ? from E-64 was
incubating the lone egg, which is good news.
All of the quail eggs continue to be present
in our pilot nest experiment nests that are in
ACA. We plan to start the experiment on Sunday -
placing eggs in the nests of 1/2 of all the
core sites, then the second half on Monday (5/30).
I paid Frank the bill tonight. It was $215.25
which included 1 week x 5 people. Julian paid his
share which was $31.00 for food & lodging.
