Emily and Julian left this morning for Panama City. Julian returns tomorrow evening while Emily will be in Florida for 2 weeks as her mother is getting a mastectomy. Steve, Anne, and Julie remain to work a couple of days before Steve and Anne leave for a 5-day vacation to Boquete.
Three core watches were watched before the afternoon was rained out. The afternoon was spent organizing nest sheets, planning the rest of the week, and talking about the next 2 weeks without Emily.
We took the egg (1of 2) at Emily's nest at CCLZ to put in the incubator. The nest is E-64 and the ♀ is FFW AI#713. The ♀ was incubating the nest and flushed when we approached. We brought the egg back in toilet paper inside a ziploc baggy. It was raining and the egg felt cold when we arrived to the cabin.
The water gauge had 0.7cm of rain water in it. We dumped it to reset. SYL

Today we anticipated rain and therefore planned for a busy watch morning. Steve, Anne, & I all did 4-1 hour core watches in the morning and two additional in the afternoon.
All was successful without rain. We were all tired afterward and did a group nest search around OCV. Julian arrived from Panama City in the evening.
