weather: drizzling ran from 11:00AM throughout the day. Heavy
rain for most of last night. Briefly sunny + still thi morn.
comments: We each did watches in the morning (except
for Julian, who recorded ad libitum to
sample as many males as possible). We all
returned to the cabanas at lunchtime and
stayed to organize data in the afternoon.
Julie listed chick band combos for entry
into the Access database; Steve cross-
checked and MBC'd & post data sheets;
Anne entered observation data; and I caught
up on field notes + coordinating data with
Julian. It was a much-needed if tedious
data day. We found a few quirks of
the data: the combination BFY was
used both for a SLBF d^ and for a
chick in nest E-3, and there is a
female banded either WRF or RWF, but
the datasheets disagree (only one of these
combos has been used so far, so the other
is off-limits until we figure this out).
Today Anne saw two females that had
both lost broods show up together at FEN.
I saw BYW (DH) at DPO, furthering
our suspicions that he's splitting his time between
BRI (where he was a) and DPO (where
he may be b).
