11 May Finca La Suiza, near Fortuna, Chiriqui, Panama Weather: Clear & Sunny AM, rain at 3:30pm. We took the 8am bus from Boquete to David, and another bus (Changuinola) to Finca La Suiza. We signed releases, paid $8 each for use of the trails, and set off to hike the "Short Circuit" loop. As soon as we got off the bus I noticed lance-tailed Manakin duet song coming from near the highway. I didn't realize that they would be this high up in the mountains (though I did see them in Parque La Amistad in 2000). As we hiked, we identified 3-4 display areas on the property. These were much more spread out than those cleared on Isla Boca Brava.
