DuVal, E.H. 2005 Journal 7 May 2005 Today I saw two down-whistle choruses that were fairly intense. I didn't see the stimulus for the first (doing a CCL5 watch), but in the second I saw a baby boa constrictor silhouetted on a leaf. Lance-tailed manakins approached, diving, and hovered near the leaf, then returned quickly to other perches flicking their wings several times before hovering again. Mobbing manakins included BRW (DU) and several unbanded birds (G and RC).
