With "Red" in tow (he's got one red band) I netted the E-58 female near Fen and then headed home. I'm not sure what to predict regarding OAW's abandonment potential - she froze on the nest as I set it a few feet away from her, and lost no feathers. Anne and I have been discussing a side project on female personalities - there seems to be a strong divide among "wolder," "flushers," & "freezers" - I wonder if the personalities are stable any nests for the same female, and any year. Is there a differential rate of success for fledging young for each type? How can we standardize personality measures in females? 30 April 2005 I again spent the whole day on nest errands. I caught two unbanded mothers in the morning, one of which was a red-eye female resting in exactly the same place as PRW did in several previous years. In the afternoon I hiked all
