DuVal, E.H. 2005 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama for my field crews. 21-23 March 2005 I switched to a "dayplanner" style of keeping track of our work schedule - see the appropriate pages of this notebook. (intro pages?). Early nest-searching has turned up a lot of nests already. We seem to have missed a big wave of copulation, but we're just on time to find the resulting eggs. This is something to keep in mind as I look at activity rates for this year: ? visitation shouldn't necessarily reflect mating success when you measure visitation AFTER everyone has mated. Also different for this year is the early rainy season - it's already quite green and wet in the forest, un- lke usual for this time of year.
