19 March 2005 - Today we continued
the process of teaching Anne & Steve
the field site. I walked them
through EDM, GUL, BTE, PHT 1 & 2.
In the last few days they've also
learned FBE2, ACA4, SBE2, CCL1, SNK1, CLL5
I was sting by a large scorpion
today and I still can't feel my
tongue. Or my teeth for that matter,
and my hands are tingly.
I found a nest with chicks today
for the first time this year. The
chicks look about 4-5 d. old.
For tomorrow: we'll do "reviews" watches
at places everyone now knows in the
morning, then learn two or so new
places in the afternoon.
20 March 2005 - I bled the chicks that I
found yesterday and had Anne and Steve
do observation sessions. Anne saw a Tayra (?)
at SNK display area. The species has
a ? cheek next to it in the restaurant's
mammal book, implying that someone else has
seen it here, but it's a first sighting
