DuVal, E.H. 2004 Journal Temp: 24-35° C 76-95° F Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama 29 Mar. can't, Julie & I continued on to David where we did some grocery shopping, checked email, and changed $60 in traveller's checks. It rained very hard in Horconcito as we waited for a lift at 4-5pm, but we caught a ride with some forestry workers just as things let up. Someone has bought & razed a cow farm near Boca Chica, and is planting tek trees with a small army of young men herded barnuck-style just on the edge of town. 30 March 2004 I was stung by seven bees while nest-searching today, and spent a few hours feeling sony for myself. A fabulous watch at CCI at the end of the day changed my attitude though - WBR copulated with BAG (G) and nearly with OPA (G). We know where both of these females (du) (but not) usually nest, so we can hopefully collect an egg from each to verify things genetically (and see who OPA does choose in the end. I checked the Max/Min thermometer for the first time in ~4 days, and the range has been 24-35° C (76-95° F). No rain on Boca Brava since March 27. House wrens (2) near the rancho in the evening, & Julie saw a big boa at SNK.
