I continued to net at TCJ 2 today to remove RGR (DH), the alpha. Julie helped me set one new net in the morning (as he seemed to know where the other three are) and then she set off to SNK to continue observing at our other removal site. I netted until 11:30 catching only one manakin but 4 Swainson's Thrushes. Two of those SWTH's had fat scores of less than two - the others were more appropriately prepared for migration, with fat overflowing their foreular pits. While netting I took GPS coordinates on my most recent nests and dissected a manakin nest into its component layers, as M. Foster suggested could be done. Fern (
