E.H. 2002 Journal B-AC - leaves in groups of 3 on long stalks - thickened base of each leaf attachment and each stalk attachment; leaf sl. overhangs attachment - strongly veined; veins attach alternately to midrib - no outer line of veins along edge of leaf - leaves are smooth, slightly glossy - bark rough, ridged almost leaves in 3 (as on left) except this one - saplings - the big tree at SNK is of this species
