I did watchos today, including one at WELY
where I'm hoping for some more definitive alpha/beta
evidence so that the perch can be included in
the alpha removal experiment. I found two
nests with eggs back in the MAN area - we're
just about at the point where eggs laid
will not hatch before we leave the study
site on July 1. Julie found a nest at
OCV with 2 eggs, as well. Everyone is
tired.

Today was the day off, so I did
observations at ACA4, SBE1 (the current
alpha removal sites) and SNK. (where I'm hoping
to do the next removal...?) Nothing very
exciting was going on in any of those
places. I'm worried about including SNK
in the removal experiment because the beta
partner remains unclear. BSY is the clear
alpha, but displays with at least 2 males
for females (WRR is most common, but has
only been seen 2x) and QR's with 4-5
males daily, it seems. I guess WRR is
the prime suspect, though if any of the others isn't
it still may be a benefit of dp attendance & cooperation.
