E.H. 2002 Journal Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica had two tadpoles clinging to its back with a layer of slime between them! It's the first time I've seen frog parental care in action. Sixola, Costa Rica, to David, Panama 11 May 2002 We returned to Panama and David in a long day of travel. I had to cross the Sixola- Guabito bridge a total of five times after we had solved all problems with tourist cards, lost bags, etc. And I do hate that bridge. The road at Sixola was underwater, and we had to hike into town along the railroad tracks, with a procession of locals. Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 12 May 2002 I returned to Boca Brava and Clint left for Panama City. Chris Lorion, Julie's husband, is on the field site to visit and is being helpful in the same sort of relaxed way that Clint was.
