Frank told me last night that they found a nest with 2 chicks while cutting laurel trees ~ 3-4 weeks ago near the 2nd landing. I set off today and found the empty nest - a bit large, but otherwise perfectly manakinish. The site is at the back of a clearing, 200 paces after the bridge near Manuel's house (you can see the house from the road at this point). Perhaps shell renest in the area next year?
