DoVal, E.H. 2001 Journal Parque Nacional Metropolitano, Panama Prov., Panama 1 December 2001 Paula and I met Alberto Castillo and his partner Debbie Bueller at the Parque Natural Metropolitano to begin getting for manakins. Alberto showed us an area near the canopy crane where he had seen displays in a previous year. Replaying two recordings of lance-tailed manakins (made by George Angehr and including pip, dw, +r, + walh) called in several birds that responded with dw's but stayed high in the trees. We drove back to the main office & checked (RC) the trail on which I saw dancing red-capped lance-tail last spring (2001), but we heard no LTMA sounds at all. <- to Albrook Main office guard house parking
