We hiked out to BTR and then did band-reading practice - bands hung in a sapling in known combos. Paula says it helped considerably, & recommended that I do that at the beginning & then regularly throughout the season with assistants. The training section of this in general could be a little more vigorous. We did watches in the afternoon. EHO at EDM x APA; PAW at BTR x BRI.
