Duval EH 2001 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama 23 May 2001 It was raining in the morning so we got a late start. 3 watches each, nonetheless, for Eric & myself, & 2 plus nest work for Katie. She leaves early tomorrow morning to head to a wedding in CA for the weekend. Eric did return from his unexpectedly long trip this morning - he got waylaid in Boca Chica. 24 May 2001 I saw a Greater Grison today! I was just starting a watch at Bridge when I heard a rustle. I thought nothing of it at first, & then saw a large mustelid descending from the opposite stream bank. He had a black face & legs, a grizzled grey back & tail, and a yellowish-white stripe across his forehead extending back to the shoulders. He waded into the water & drank, then climbed up onto the west bank & slowly wandered to about three feet of where I was sitting. He kept stopping to sniff the air, but I seemed to be downwind.
