E.H. 2001 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama 14 May 2001 We went in to David with Frank, came back in a driving rain - not exactly the best conditions for riding in the back of a speeding pickup truck. I received $706 from STRI (after some trouble finding the packages at the post office). Eileen informs me that I got $1000 from ABS, + another email informed me of a $200 grad assembly conference grant. Hurrah! Spectacled Owl along S trail this morning. 15 May 2001 I checked resists & melted at WEC in the morning, then whiled away the rainy afternoon. Not much was accomplished. 16 May 2001 We took shifts netting at WEC 3 + 4 today - Katie did 2 watches in the morning, Eric did 2 at night. Eventually we caught a DM who MAY be the unb DM at WEC 4. We will see tomorrow. No rain.
