Duval, E. H. 2001 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov, Panama [1 May cont] pip flight, well-recovered from his capture on April 29. I didn't get BOW, but I caught FOUR unbanded females (4 I banded) instead. The day was overcast with light showers. I took blood from chicks in nests K-2, E-10, & E-16. The K-2 and E-10 babies have odd sores all over their heads & bodies. Some of them have the festering look of tick bites, but I'm not sure what caused them. 2 May 2001 I continued to try to catch BOW - I'd really like to be able to write a solid paper on manaki hormones. No luck. There were manakins, & yellow-green vireos, and [white winged] [bearn] mobbing a medium-sized (25") boa (?) near SBE 1 when I did a watch there. I videoed him, as well as QR boots with AYY and RWR. Eric saw SF-1 for a female by an unband DM near but not at WEL 3. Rain in the evening.
