DuVal E. H. 2001 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama' 20 Apr. can't) got a downturned opening & is hanging from an acacia. I'd like to verify the species (I didn't even see the parents yet) & send a picture to J. Mobley. The breeze continued throughout the night - cool & dry. 21 April 2001 The manakins were pretty much silent today as the North Wind continued, I'm less than I was last time worried about losing nest contents', since the majority of nests have chicks these days, & I'm well aware of how good those chicks are at hangi g to the bottoms of nests. I checked empty nest E-L today & found that it had two eggs! I had started to think that our empty nests always remain empty. Eric has one nest by SBE (the tractor area) that the female has been sitting on for more than two weeks - with no eggs. I wonder what she's waiting for?
