predator ate one & knocked the other out?
I replaced it in the nest, & we'll
see what happens. I think that
nest should hatch in the next 2 days.
I saw GGR at ACA for the
3rd time - I didn't see his
partner's birds. The location of
that display perch seems to be:

An extremely windy day. We each
had to call off a watch for lack of
mammal activity, & were hesitant about
nest-searching because we didn't want to
flush females from wind-tossed nests. E-11
has partially hatched - I chick'd legs. I
staked it out for 25 min with no luck.
Lou Santiago, a UF grad student working
on canopy photosynthesis in the canal zone,
is here for a brief break and we
had a good time talking with him.
