Independent observations at 7 lek
sites - Katie saw some good
bouts of dancing for females, but
didn't get the bands of the males
(CCLY). We saw females on the
dp at 7 of 7 observation sessions.

I wonder if females on the dp
relates to rain the previous night?
No rain last night, and our watches
were pretty dead. I did find a
newly-constructed (but empty) nest
near WEL3.
16 March 2001
We netted near SP9 for the unbanded
male that displays there, but caught
8 banded birds instead. Looks like we've
done a respectable job of netting
the little guys! We'll try again in the
AM to see if we can get him.
