H. 2000 DuVal Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama rain early 4M. 12 mm rain 2 June 2000 Rain after 5:30 ; sunny & clear morning We continued to net in Mangrove with little success - 3 recaps, and a few fixed net holes. We blazed a path to the creek that flows from Well, and then followed it to Well itself and crossed over to Lots. Kat & Mark netted there for about an hour and I went to TCJ to do a watch (and promptly saw 1-2 unbanded DM's). Deidre + Lynn, two FIT Marine biologists, are here looking for sea slugs. Deidre is on a STRI pre-doc fellowship and recommends that I apply - I'll certainly look into it. Deidre says that Neal Smith has a reputation for being cantankerous. I like him... But Biff may be a better choice of host for a fellowship application. June 2000 15 mm rain in evening We set the rest of the nets at Lots and caught a grand total of three birds - but one was "the" unbanded DM. Another was an unb G?
