No rain! For once! I'm writing at 8:30 pm,
so there's still a chance for it to pour tonight.
Mark stahed his new nest today and
found out that the female is unbanded.
After an uneventful watch at bridge, I
joined him to set up a single 6m
net near the nest. We caught the
probable mother of M-21 and banded
her PYY. Mark took two vials of blood from
each chick and collected a fecal sample.
Kat had a fabulous first two watches, with
observation of dancing for a juvenile greenio. Probable?
In the afternoon I did a watch at 2nd B (2)
and saw AWA SF-1 for an unbG juv -
and video taped it! hurray! The broken tripod
has made videoing much more challenging.
Frank a Yadhiorra left for Costa Rica
today, for the quarterly "vacation" (immigrat,
reasons). Mark and I watched a
scaly-breasted hummingbird sing beautifully.
For a long time near bridge; there were
several singing quite loudly in the area.
