45mm rain - hard rain starting at
~3:00
The rain was so strong today that
the ocean was flooded with orange
plumes of run-off. I spent the
morning waiting for an appropriate time to
call Lionel from ANAM (personal
# = 775-2055), but by the time
I worked up the nerve at 8:30am
there was no answer and I had
wasted a big chunk of morning. Mark
& Kat did 2 observations each in the
morning, and I did one in the
late morning at CC5. Afternoon
watchies were cut short by the
downpour.
The tripod is broken and the
video camera is now held steady
by the magic of duct tape. We
still don't have a good recording
of DM's dancing together, or
for a female. Kat and I
filled in the video log for tape
3, which includes the jaguar
sighting.
due to a
E-21 failed obvious predation event.
3 cheers for insurance blood!
