DuVal, E. H. 2006 Journal Isla Boca Brava Chiriquí Prov., Panamá June 2000 Overcast AM, thunder in pm, rain at night. 4 AM of the 15th: 9mm This morning during our much-needed coffee session, a manakin flew into the open rancho, circled around us and left. It seemed to be an accident. ;) We did 3 observations each today & Mark staked E-21 (still alive!) for 1/2 hour, to no avail. Kent says there's an unbanded DM at second landing. The morning was exceedingly quiet, though Kent managed to find manakin activity as well as observe copulations by rufous-tailed hummingbirds and the courtship flight of a little hermit. I videoed some QR boots, but our tripod is thoroughly broken & un-repoxyable Steve, Hannah, & Andy, the family who now (soon?) will own Restaurante Boca Brava, leave tomorrow. I gave Hannah a tour this morning though there wasn't much to show (no birds). Their emails are: Steve: [email protected] [email protected]
