It was all in about the same
30m circle...
4) berry tree in fruit, with several
manakins feeding (1 ?, 1 ?(DM),
at least). A good place to set
my nets...
5) bridge across a creek at this
point; 2 males clearly visible
to the west of the bridge,
displaying (though they stopped
when I approached). Another
lek could be heard to the
east of the site.
* other sites where a lek was
heard.
Assuming 2 DM per lek, this implies
that there are at least 22 males
displaying in the area. Not bad...
Other sightings: barred antshrike pair,
brown pelicans x ~5 Magnificent
Frigatebirds from the restaurant.
