DuVal, E.H. 2000 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama June 2000 10 mm rain in the afternoon We did three watches each today and mine were extremely lucky. I taped a QR boot with pretty good visual recording at 2nd Beach (2). I watched a TC f on the dance perch there - she was excitedly watching the dancing + doing ??, but flew before copulation. Within a minute, I heard dancing at (1). I followed it to the dp & saw a distinct TC of the same description on the dp. Again, she left. In that same 5 min, Mark recorded a TC watching ARA display. hooray, it is a le! though the nest is probably larger than I realized. June 4, a! June 4. much for memory. June 2000 11mm rain in evening We did two simultaneous watches today, involving all three of us - first beach (1,3, 4/5) + second beach (12,3). Both were woefully silent. I think I won't be trying any more simultaneous watches this year... I netted at Gully in the afternoon, alone, + caught nothing. Mark did a watch at Acacia, + Kat vegged K-26. M-14 has apparently been eaten - both chicks are gone, & they're too young to have fledged (I think).
