May 2000 Rain at 5:00 - I forget to empty the rain gauge yesterday; the total for both days was 53 mm.
We did 2 watches each in the morning + 1 nest veg analysis each in the afternoon. I did E-13 and found E-23 as I measured out the west transect. E-13 was found on 4/27, and E-23 on 5/31. A whole month and only 10 nests! E-23 has two eggs and one mud, unbanded female.
I fell down a steep gully while measuring E-13 and am still smarting from the scratches. Mark and Kat also found a nest each while measuring their nests.
Another termite hatch has caused an insect blizzard around the lights in our ranchos.
