Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chirigui Prov. Panama 20 May can't. birds don't seem to mind. They were dancing (on a more remote perch) as the deed was done. But I find it really traumatic to lose bits of the study site like this. I definitely need a complimentary uncult site - perhaps on Parida? I'll keep it in mind when we visit & band as much as possible. Doing such a venture seriously would require a lot more field assistants, I think. We did 3 observations each & finished the veg. work on M-1 this afternoon. 21 May 2000 We all slept in this morning because the rain was hard & steady at 5:45am. But by 7:20 it was clear and we still hadn't made it past the ranchos. We rallied, & Mark and I target-netted the mother of E-11, catching the Tawny-capped suspect on the first net run.
