I read through the buildup of behavioral observations and filed them in the appropriate places. Mark went nest-searching and then we all attempted to do the vegetation estimates at nest M-1. We only managed 3 of 9 required 2m2 plots before calling it a day -- vegetation work is phenomenally frustrating! I stayed out K-23 for 40 min & saw WA again, but the light was too poor to read her third band. One baby disappeared yesterday, but the younger one is still in the nest. He still has a visible sore among the pin of one wing from insect bites. I think Frank is getting tired of my frugality. I think I'm getting tired of sniping comments about my stinginess as an employee.
