DuVal, E.H. 2000 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chirigui Prov., Panama' 9 May 2000 Weather: Partly cloudy all day, rain beginning ~5:30 and continuing sporadically. Today was the "day off" so I slept in and went out at 7:30 to target net at Central Clearing (5) for the unbanded DM. I saw two unb DM's QR'ing together shortly before I captured one at 11:45, so I guess there's always more work to be done. I also caught 2 unb G's, RRE, PYP & YPY, & the female from former E-1 nest (though I need to check that one). Clint passed his orals today! It took some elaborate planning to get to Boca Chica to find this out but it was worth the trip. I banded the first bird of the day "OR/Aal" as Clint was probably waking up. I continued netting with less success in the afternoon, & finished The Beak of the Finch. I didn't find time for telemetry work today.
