DeVal, E.H. 2006 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama 7 May cont. somewhere East of there which narrows it to just about the whole study site. I was looking for ABY specifically, x so continued on to walk the "Adventure Trail" through the former horse pasture with no success. Afternoon I was again unable to raise a signal for any of the birds. I left the receiver & antenna near Acacia while I went net-searching (found E-I x E-J). When I got back, there was again no noise at all from the receiver (no static, same problem as yesterday). I took the equipment back to keep it from being rained on. There is a faint static noise that can only be heard if the volume is all the way up and your ear is pressed to the machine. Mark & Kat did watches in the morning, and we all nest-searched without luck in the afternoon, after the downpour. It's really the rainy season now! The flying termites have appeared, reminding me that last year their shed wings carpeted this
