DuVal, E.H. 2000 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama 4 April 08 weather: cool (70 @ 09:00, 82 @ 12:00) overcast, rain at 5:00pm for ~15 minutes. wind 0-1 blue sky 0% We set strategic nets around E-10 & M-6 nets in the second landing (aka dead fish gully) area. The nets around E-10 immedi caught an unbanded greenie, whose alarm calls drew a second unbanded G. She circled me, fluttering at about shoulder height and never perching - very unlike previous manakin behavior that I've seen. She soon left the net, and it was later confirmed that she's the mother of NGB #24, the baby in an uns G at E-10. We also caught an M-6 very soon. We haven't yet confirmed that she's brooding on M-6. We also caught one unbanded DM down. Mark & I moved nets to the main display area of second landing, where I found an antshrike nest with clicks. I'm not sure whether it's barred or black-hooded. We caught 1 new green & recaptured two more. One of these, ABY, was radiotagged with transmitter 151.052. She wasn't quite as active in the release cage as BOY had been, but
