DuVal, E.H. 2000 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui, Panama April 2000 Mistreting tredez: someone didn't understand someone else, & two 6m mistnets were left open all night. DM XXX was killed, as was a bat whose exact species remains a mystery. Both were prepared as specimens. We also find 1 RC, 4 other bats, & two autoshikes in the nets, & all of those birds lived. We continued to net there & attached the first lance-tailed manakin radio transmitter to BO/Yal. She's frequency 151.032. So far so good... She flew away very well. A great-crested flycatcher & fledgling yellow-green vireo did not fly so well, inexplicably. For the most part, it was a really bad day.
