Du Val, E. H. 2000 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov. Panama' tarsii were long enough (≈ 12-14 days after hatching), though barely. I still need to take a little more blood from him to have a really good sample. I didn't see the mother today. 5 April 2000 Weather: rained all night. Overcast + humid in the AM, clearing to sunny by late morning. We netted at the Central Clearing / Second Beach (2) site, concentrating around display perches where I've seen two unbanded males displaying. We caught 17 birds, of which only 8 were new. Not bad... There were 2 unbanded DM's caught, as well as several DM recaptures. I hope that we cought the ones we were trying for! The unbanded females we cought all had good patches of 3, and two of them regurgitated invertebrates when taken from the net. One female did this at the feeding station, so we collected the food +
