Mistnetting at the "bridge" site: we centered our nets on a lek just North of the bridge. As we set nets, we observed 2 males dancing for >1 min. very near the trail.
It was a very good day for netting - we caught 12 manakins, many of which were Black Faced or DM. Other captures were 2 red-legged honeycreepers (male & female), 4 ? lesser seed finches,
2 rufus-tailed hummingbirds, 1 barred antshrike,
+ 1 northern waterthrush.
The manakins:

RC II = 2
G II = 2
Both G's were adults, & presumably female: one had the beginnings of a brood patch. I looked for the darker eye streak I had noticed in the long-tailed manakin specimens in the MVZ, but couldn't find one.
