DuVal, E.H. 1999 49 Journal Isla Boca Brava, Chiriqui Prov., Panama I have found fresh burrows w/ worn trails leading to them at the tree area of bee tree lek & near the second beach lek. What lives there? Saw 2 black iguanas on the rocks of the first beach. They sheltered under an overhang, just around the point of rocks toward the second beach. Manuel was working with his brother Franklin, & as they walked home they stopped to talk birds. Franklin mumbles, but I have no problem understanding Manuel. They both used the binocs. Manuel asked how much they cost, & I just said "mucho." No further questions. Manuel spotted 2 ? and checked for birds (none). I think he would be a great field assistant if we could communicate. variegatorides melanina Saw a blk. squirrel w/ rufus sides - color of a manthed howler. Variegated squirrel
