JOURNAL
Albuquerque, New Mexico
May 18 Pulled in the live traps by midmorning.
Drove down another mile or so to see the
rock arch that a local rancher had told
us about. If the animals on the two
sides of the lava flow differ karyotypically
and genetically as we expect, then there
would be potential contact between the
two forms around the southern end of
the lava flow, or across the narrower
parts near Grants. We drove back to
Albuquerque and Jim and Carol dropped me
at the airport for my flight at 2:45 PM.
