B. Richardson 934 Black-headed Grosbeak July 22. Little Lake Kern River Tulare Co., California. Nest and eggs found in a big willow thicket in the peninsular in Big Kern Lake. The loosely formed nest was constructed in a small crook about 6' off the ground. At the time we found the nest the male was incubating the eggs and singing at the same time. The nest, four eggs and the 3 bird were all taken and recorded by Mr. Dixon.
