July 24 Quaking Aspen Meadow, 7500 ft.
Tuolumne Co., California.
This individual was shot above the meadow on a south facing slope openly forested with fir and intervening brush consisting principally of serviceberry and chigherin. The bird had food in its mouth (??fly) which it evidently intended for young.
