W.M.B. Richardson 1934 Mustela arizonensis July 16 1/2 m. & Mineral King 2850 ft. Tulare Co. Calif. The catch today included 4 of this species. Found area - Sierra Nevada. Libron - Canadian Habitat - Along th canyon floor where gophers and meadow mice are numerous. The 4 individuals were all cought in the same gopher set (2 traps). This morning a partially devoured gophrea was taken from th trap and th trap next to catched the culprif. The mom when the traps were attarbed to them were 2 weasels in th 2 traps. Th traps were reset and this evening 2 mor was taken. Th first two were kept alive. July 17 Three more individuals taken today. Two of these were cought in the same trap as th above four. The oth, a long S, was caught in a woodchuck burrow at th base of a big rock, some 150 yd distant from oth set. Th six individuals which were caught at th gopher set an apparently a family of young.
