May 17 ½ mi E & Stadium, 500 ft.
Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
Four of this species
were caught last evening.
Each of the individuals
were caught in habitat
that was generally less
protected than that
of the Peromyscus. One
of the individuals was
cought in a small trail
in the grass; the other
three in sparsely were
cought in rather open
country but still cover
was enough at hand
so that there was
protection within a few
feet. All of the individuals
cought were males.
