"Thomomys bottae" No. 13 Riverside (Down on near Palmyra) Shasta Co. Cal. This gopher was sent to me by my mother. In a letter from [illegible] stated that it was caught by J H Lanter of 3981 8th St Riverside in an orange grove. Mr Lanter told him that he had caught quite a number of white and brown missel - he is keeping an eye out for more. This gopher was packed in dry ice for shipping. It arrived in excellent condition or still frozen. The stopping was due to a 2 day delay in skinning.
